The excursion begins with an evocative trail through the Mangalaviti Forest — an imposing beech forest characterized by specimens of Fagus sylvatica, maples, and hollies. The Mangalaviti Forest, with its boundless beauty and biodiversity, also hosts rare specimens of Taxus baccata (English yew), making it unique in Europe. Along the route, you will have the opportunity to spot wildlife such as pine martens, weasels, wildcats, dormice, and birds such as tits, blackbirds, and wrens.
Continuing along the trail, you will reach Lago Biviere — a charming lake that serves as a refuge for numerous species of waterbirds, both resident and migratory. The route, easy to follow, offers spectacular panoramic views and a unique experience immersed in the nature of the Nebrodi Park. Finally, Lago Biviere represents an ecological landmark in the park, offering an unforgettable natural spectacle and the chance to observe the life of waterbirds in a serene and unspoiled environment.
