The Capo Milazzo – La Baronia route begins by following the beautiful Baia di Sant’Antonio — one of the most captivating spots along the entire promontory. After enjoying the initial panorama, we head towards “La Baronia”; the trail crosses a vast centuries-old olive grove spanning approximately 46 hectares, alongside a 10-hectare vineyard, leading us to Punta Mazza. From this privileged vantage point, a breathtaking view opens over the eastern Riviera; after completing this stretch, the route brings us back to the Piazzetta Sant’Antonio, where we’ll have the opportunity to briefly visit the ancient Rock Sanctuary of Sant’Antonio.
From here, we can enjoy a panoramic view over the entire bay, making the excursion even more memorable; this route, which crosses another ancient olive grove near the lighthouse, leads to the extreme tip of the Cape, culminating in the enchanting Piscina di Venere. This additional itinerary offers the chance to further explore the rich Mediterranean vegetation and immerse yourself in the natural wonders that Capo Milazzo has to offer.
Recommended excursion kit: hiking or sports shoes, drinking water, sunscreen, and a hat. For those who wish to swim in the sea, water/reef sandals and a snorkel mask are strongly recommended to best appreciate the seabed.
