On this exciting quad excursion of approximately 3h 30, you will have the opportunity to explore some of the most fascinating and historically rich locations of eastern Sicily. Our itinerary includes the towns of Francavilla di Sicilia, Castiglione di Sicilia, and the spectacular Montagna Grande di Motta Camastra. Each stop on the excursion offers breathtaking panoramas and a deep immersion into Sicilian culture and history.

Departing from Francavilla di Sicilia — a charming town nestled in the Alcantara Valley — we cross landscapes characterized by vineyards, olive groves, and ancient rural structures. Francavilla is famous for its natural beauty, including the Alcantara River Park, and for its rich historical heritage that includes baroque churches and noble palaces.

We continue towards Castiglione di Sicilia — a medieval village perched on a hilltop. Here we have the opportunity to visit its historic castles, such as the Castello di Lauria, which offers a panoramic view of the valley below. Castiglione di Sicilia is also renowned for the production of fine wines, thanks to its privileged position on the north face of Etna, which creates an ideal microclimate for viticulture.

Our adventure then takes us to the Montagna Grande di Motta Camastra — a small village nestled among the rocks offering spectacular views over the entire valley and the course of the Alcantara river from source to sea. Motta Camastra is celebrated for its rugged geographical position and for having served as one of the filming locations of the famous film “The Godfather.” The village, with its narrow streets and stone houses, preserves an authentic and fascinating atmosphere that will make you feel as if you have stepped back in time.
