Explore the authentic beauty of Sicily on our guided quad excursion. Departing from Cefalù, the first 14 km paved stretch towards the Gibilmanna Sanctuary is perfect for getting comfortable with the quad. We cross the evocative wooded slopes of Pizzo Sant’Angelo — a place rich in history and miraculous legends linked to the Madonna.
Continuing, the route becomes more adventurous, winding along the mountain trails of the Madonie. Here, Sicily’s wild nature reveals itself in all its beauty, with the chance to spot wildlife. Let yourself be enchanted by the charm of the Sicilian hinterland, far from the crowded beaches and archaeological sites.
We arrive in Castelbuono — a fascinating medieval village at the foot of the Madonie. This town is renowned for the Castello dei Ventimiglia — an architectural gem from the 1300s — and for the slow-food tradition linked to manna, a typical Sicilian product. Castelbuono is also a model of environmental sustainability, known for the use of donkeys in waste collection.
During the stop in Castelbuono, you can enjoy complimentary local specialty products offered by Bar Fiasconaro, located in the main square near the castle. The excursion concludes with a spectacular itinerary through the Madonie Park — an extraordinary environment rich in forests, rivers, and streams. From the heights of the Madonie, you can enjoy a sweeping panorama that also takes in the Aeolian Islands.
