Discover the summit craters of Etna on a breathtaking excursion departing from Catania and the surrounding area. This tour allows you to explore the most active volcano in Europe, known for its fumarolic activity and spectacular eruptions. From the meeting point, you will reach the Rifugio Sapienza at 2,000 meters, from where you will take the Etna Cable Car up to 2,500 meters, continuing by jeep up to 2,920 meters.

Accompanied by volcanological guides, you will walk along the ridge of the 2002–03 craters, admiring the recent 2021 lava flows. The experience also includes exploration of a lava tube cave and a stop in Zafferana Etnea to taste typical local products such as honeys and wines. Suitable for the whole family, this tour offers a unique opportunity to experience Etna and its fascinating volcanological phenomena up close.

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes such as sports sneakers and long trousers, and bringing a jacket in case of unstable weather. In autumn and winter, mountain hiking boots, long trousers, windproof jackets, hat, and gloves are advised. Cable car and jeep are included, and so is the transfer.*
