Mount Etna, step by step.
Etna Revolution is a five-day hiking journey that crosses all four sides of the volcano, following a circular route through some of Mount Etna’s most spectacular and untamed landscapes.
A journey on foot into the heart of the volcano, through ancient lava flows, forests, caves, craters, mountain shelters and ever-changing landscapes, designed to reveal Mount Etna slowly and from constantly changing perspectives. From the impressive scenery of the Valle del Bove to the forests of the northern slope, the remote areas of the western side and the volcanic landscapes of the south, each day reveals a different face of the mountain.
Autumn makes the journey even more captivating, as the colours of the vegetation contrast with the black volcanic rock, while the higher elevations offer constantly changing atmospheres and a unique encounter between nature and volcanic landscapes.
Accompanied by a certified hiking and environmental guide, participants will spend five days exploring the volcano on foot, staying overnight in mountain shelters and tent camps for an authentic experience in close contact with nature.
An adventure designed for experienced and physically fit hikers who want to go beyond the classic Mount Etna excursion and experience the volcano in a deeper, more immersive way, exploring it day after day until completing the entire circuit.
This trek is designed for experienced walkers who are used to hiking regularly, including in natural environments, with a good walking pace and enough stamina to complete several consecutive days of trekking.
It is an intense, immersive and authentic experience, ideal for those who want to experience the volcano in depth rather than simply observe it.
