The Etna Wine Tour is an immersive experience that combines the natural beauty of the Etna volcano with the refined culture of wine, guided by an authorized expert naturalist guide. Etna is renowned as Italy’s third-largest wine-producing region, thanks to the extraordinary variety of soils and microclimates that give Etna wines their distinctive character — the result of volcanic soil and cultivation reaching altitudes of up to 900 meters, with native grape varieties such as Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante, and Catarratto.

During the tour, the naturalist guide will lead you through a fascinating route among lava flows, volcanic caves, and craters — helmets and cave lamps provided by the guides — offering a complete immersion in Etna’s geology and nature. A key highlight of the tour is the visit to one of the region’s finest wineries, situated at 500 meters altitude, where the unique microclimate and volcanic soil give the wines an unmistakable freshness and minerality.

Accompanied by an AIS-certified sommelier, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the winery’s production processes and take part in a tasting of five local wines. Each wine will be paired with typical local products, offering an olfactory and gustatory journey that lets you fully appreciate the aromas and distinctive characteristics of Etna wines.
